The target audience would be people who are old enough to drive a car. Basically, I think it is effective mostly because of the way they presented their idea. They used the concept on the beauty of human hands to illustrate the fact that whatever the human hands make is beautiful, through the different hand signs. The point that is made is straightforward but in a way unpredicted which catches the audience's attention. The sound they used also complements the mood they're trying to portray, which was a sort of whimsical, humourous mood. Therefore I think all these elements contributed to an effective advertisement.

The target audience is basically for people of all ages. I think this commercial is effective because they used cute kids to spread the message of eating right to stay healthy. People are entertained by the actions of these two kids and they also will listen because, a little kid is telling them to eat right. The commercial is cute and funny and therefore it does deliver the message they want to say, and is effective

First thing I realise from all ads is that they commonly use attractive words such as "free" or "*insert percentage* discount sale" to gain the attention of viewers. I consider this a spin as, sometimes we get tricked by these offers and the whole attractiveness about the products, that we buy them even though we don't really need them. Plus, sometimes if you don't read the fine print below the advert, you won't know the terms and conditions to be able to fully obtain the products.

I see a variety of slimming centre ads, where they usually get a famous actress to model for them, and then print on and on about the different machines they have and how effective theirs is. Also, saying things such as, when you're slimmer it "gives you a sense of well-being and confidence that radiates from within". Honestly I think, you can feel confident whether you're slim or not. Even if you're overweight, it might mean you are unhealthier, but it doesn't mean that you ought to feel unconfident about yourself.

There are also many ads from different supermarkets, claiming their foods are the freshest around. How can all supermarkets have the freshest foods?

Comparing the weekday and weekend papers, the weekday papers had more ads on learning instituitions, events. Whilst the weekend papers had more ads on automobiles, furniture, mobile phones. Sundays have lesser advertisements, but their advertisements are generally more attractive because they have colour (obviously, haha).

The ad is trying to say that the car they're advertising for is beautiful.

This car commercial gives the overall impression that the car is flawless, that it works very well.

The car is irresistable

The ad brands the car as really fashionable and stylish looking.

The car gives your ego a boost, that it makes you feel more attractive.

Personally, I feel that these commercials have actually worked. Consumers want to feel good when they're driving, they want to look impressionable and impressive. Therefore by watching these adverts, most people would mostly likely buy a car that is more good-looking and expensive than one which is equally just as good in mileage etc but doesn't look as good. For most people, the look and feel is more important than what it can do.

My friend introduced me to this song today, and I'm slowly getting addicted to it. Vitas, he has this dreamy-like quality in his voice and especially in this song, the sadness and the pining is clearly evident.

Anyway it inspired me to write a poem.

Oh yes, please don't be startled by the high pitch-ness. Although I can't blame you, I jumped myself when he reached that high note. HAHA.

A song unsung

Turns into night. Try brushing your

Umm yeah.. Weird. But today I'm inspired by Christian Louboutin's heels.

Crazy idea? I have a rich husband and owns each and every Christian Louboutins there are out there. I parade them in Takashimaya along with my Prada handbag that I carry along with me effortlessly. Also with a Chanel big oversized Jackie-O sunglasses perched on my head. Then I raise my nose high up in the air and look down at you non-rich people who are going gaga over my shoes, as my super skinny heels clack on the yellow-brick road.

Then I click my red patent Christian Louboutin heels once together and magically returns to a 5 room HDB flat, with nothing but cheap flip flops and mock Christian Louboutins in my shoe closet. Prada handbags disappear into dust, Chanel sunglasses transforms into cheap 5 dollar sunglasses you can get at Far East Plaza.

Dreams.
Reality.
Dreams.
Reality.
Not something so easy to grasp hold of isn't it? Just when you think you have it, it falls right through the cracks of your cupped palm. Like water.

Texture: Because of the different splatters of paint all over the picture, the texture is rough and unrelieved. It gives off a chaotic feel.

Colour: Light pastel-like colours are used, giving a cooler feel to the design.

Visual Contrast: There is a contrast of rough texture and cool colour, and also contrasting colours like the blues and the pinks. Evokes a sense of chaos.

A video on youtube that inspired me.

Loving nostalgia, old hollywood glamour and 1920s silent films.
Its an era that I wished I existed in, much more so rather than this current time we're living in.
I don't really have so much of a crazy idea after watching that clip.
I just think that the skeleton can do more than just dance. In fact to add to the "scary" effect,
I'd rather have a Samara (from The Ring) type of girl flashing on and off gradually.
Yup, something like that.
